Time for an update

Wow! its been some time now since I posted what the Marchy's are up to....Josh i finally home from Madera and working close to home now! The sad thing is they have to go back in the spring to finish up. Work for them is good...customers keep calling and the jobs are rolling in. At the Marchy ranch harvest is upon us as the early variety were knocked and our corn is only a couple weeks away from being copped....(will post pictures after harvest).
I have begun to build a bigger case load with work which is keeping me busy and on my toes. With a bigger case load I have been gone more so Allison has been spending more time with Ovo. However we have been spending more time with Grandma Bernice but but it has been to take care of her since she has broken her leg. We went on a small family vaca in the beginning of August with some friends which ended short because grandma fell. She is doing well now...awaiting her hard fiber glass cast. To aleave over exhaustion for my mom I felt this was the right time to put Allison in preschool. She is now attending CSU Stanilaus Child Development Center two days a week in the infant/toddler room for 3- 4 hours a week. She loves it! Although she has only had the chance to attend one day so far as we were out of town on Thursday saying our farwells to Grandma June ( my dad's mom). She had been sick for some time now and she went to the heavens last week Aug. 19th.
Also in the news Allison saw her doctor on teh 16th for a way over due 18 month check up.
She weighs 23.5 lbs and is 32.5 in tall. Josh is hoping she will reach 36 in by the time she is two so she will be 6ft when she grows up. Daddy is hoping for a bball or vball player out of his little girl.
Some other interesting info on Allison
  • She says her name is "Ally Cat" when you ask her what her name is
  • She is using two word sentences almost all the time now...some times three words at a time
  • She loves to shop! regardless of the store everything is cute and pretty
  • She drinks from an open cup almost all the time unless we are in the car and feeds herself with a fork and spoon for all her meals ( although she uses her hands sometimes because its just easier)
  • Will eat almost anything and her two favorite things to eat are tomatoes and ice cream cones (just the cone no ice cream)
  • She knows 18 body parts expressively and recepetively (hair, head, eyes, nose, mouth, teeth, tongue, neck, boobies, tummy, belly button, butt, business (girly parts), knees, feet, hands, elbow and arm pit
  • Puzzles are her thing now...She can complete 7-8 piece peg puzzels on her own
  • Knows lion, cow, tiger, monkey, pig, sheep, chicken, dog, cat, bird, elephant, horse experessively and respecetively as well as their corresponding sounds
  • She knows all of her immediate famil members by site and can give you the names of the other members that go with them (ie..she knows aunt jen, uncle nick, brodie and brooke when you ask her who else )
  • LOVES Yo Gabba Gabba! knows all the characters names
  • Love to pretend with her babies and stuffed animals ( so much that we are thinking about asking Santa for a play kitchen to expand her pretend thinking skills even though she pretends to make tea for us with her tea set that she got for Easter

Sorry I have not pictures for this update as I forgot my camera out at my dad's house when we went over there for dinner. I will post them when I get my camera back

Sac Zoo

Last week Allison and I had the please of going to the Sacramento Zoo with our friends Shane and Yvette. We had a great time seeing all the animals. We even were able to go to Fairytale Land and Funderland which are all with in walking distance from the zoo. Three great places for developing toddlers!

Look at this furosious animal!

Both kiddos sat for face painting (I am not holding her there just keeping her head up for the painter)

There were lots of great small size things for the kids to do....This slide was a hit and they kept wanting to go down it. Allison liked it so much she couldnt wait for me to help her up the stairs and climbed them all on her own(see picture below)

On our walk over to Funderland (toddler size amusement park rides) Allison started to fall asleep in her stroller. Once she saw where we were she woke right up and loved the cars, train and merry go round
