Potty Time and 17 months old

Well as you can see Allison has a pair of panties on. Over the past several days especially she has been telling me "PEE PEE" or "Poop" and sure enough when I check her diaper she has gone. As well as taking her diaper off because its wet. The other day she also told me "Poop" before she even went. So we have purchased a potty and panties but are not going to use them quite yet. We are letting her sit on the potty when she wants and next month maybe introduce pull ups or panties ( not sure which one I want to use; one is alot cleaner then the other)

Today Allison is 17 months old! Can't believe she is almost 1 1/2. Time flies when your having fun I guess. She is a ball of laughs all day. She is always smiling and getting into anything she is getting her hands into or anything she can climb on. Talks all the time and loves to shop.

Every couple of years on Josh's mothers side of the family there is a reunion; The Berg Family reunion to be exact. We spent a couple of hours out at a local park playing with out bestie Brodie (also our cousin)

Today we finally figured out why Allison has not eaten much of anything for the last week. She has bruised in the inside of her mouth. The bruise it at the gum line below her four front teeth. On top of not eating well, she has not been sleeping well either. This morning she was up for almost two hours on and off and finally feel asleep when I had to take her to grandma's. Since I had no more Tylenol ( it was chucked after I found out it was on the recall list) I had to go and get more. Once I gave her some she managed to gain her firing spirit back if only for a few hours. She didn't want to eat when I wanted her to, but because I left it on the table she managed to get into a regular chair and pick at the chicken and veggies I had made for her. Hey she ate it! If the bruise doesn't go away by Monday I will take her in to make sure nothing serious is wrong with her little mouth.

Mother's Day 2010

Mother's day was a bit different this year. Maybe it was because I was only with child and not family. Josh was able to stay home in the morning and have breakfast with us but he worked most of the day. I did however spend with extended family minus Josh.

Our busy Sunday carried over into Monday when we surprised my grandma with a visit. We managed to get Allison to do her animal sounds, some signs and showed us some dance moves. I think it was a wonderful surprise for Ovo Cinta.

Farmer's Market

Today we went to the local farmers market in downtown Modesto with my mom. She wanted to go because she always loved going when she lived in Castro Valley. Allison enjoyed all the people and the different things to look at but with the small street and crowd; lets just say it was not very stroller friendly. I want Allison to understand that fruit ans veggies don't just come from the grocery store but that they come from the farms that surround out great central valley. The yummy fruits and veggies can be bought directly from the farmer not from just a store
